Dollhouse EarthShells, hollowed out minds -
brainwaves taken captive.
Where is my personality?

Thoughts reinvented, emotions
reprogrammed. I see through
my own reflection.
Face so familiar, but
Who am I?

Destroy, rebuild, wipe clean -
The archetecture of an artist,
or a mad man.
Genius deteriorating,
a frantic puppet-master
grasping for strings.
Children lost in a world of
their making.
We are dolls.

Chaos is always the punishment
for playing God.

Was it worth it?

I Loved You MoreThey say patience
can go a really long way
So I waited
and I waited
for you to say

What was going on
In that pretty little mind
but instead
you pushed me off
and you wasted my time

All those things I said
all those words in my head
all that love that I gave to you
now its clear what it all meant to you

I simply loved you more
I crossed my heart and I swore
that someday I would make you happy
but the promise is all but broken
and my heart is gone, all but stolen
I can't ever get it back because
I guess I loved you more.

I tried building
bridges over all of the walls
I tried healing
all of the burning scars
But you didn't want me at all

Everything Dances At Its Bitter EndDarkness, twirling, swirling around you
A swish of a long ruby shawl
Niceties long disposed of, turn in their graves
Chains clink softly, bloodless white hands
Emotions are dancing, their final, their last

MakarI am discovering poetry in lines of genius --
fragments of a broken existence
where only misfit pieces build the puzzle
and discarding the words like carbon dioxide

They are drowning me in a dictionary of experiences --
inhale a panicked definition of life
and exhale an ocean of ink and paper
with no surface in sight

every artist should die for their passion

PoetriumesqueAll those notes and chords are words for my soul to hear
But with all this silence, so mercilessly merciful, it is what I fear
Of emptiness
Nevermore resentless
Terrified of being lost, forgotten and lonely
By the music, that was there for me only
Everything I write is what my imagination longs for
Though I failed to finish an ending, in every lore
Nothing more but unread fables on a dusty shelf
Of forgotten memories, the truth never told about myself...

Every song you've written is about memories and imagination so dear to you
Only in art is to be subtly artless yet openly artful
Live life in the open with the longing blue
Let me see the jo

The SeductionGoddess, Temptress -

as if a cloud.

Black silk, porcelain,
smile like a siren's song,
hypnotist eyes...

awake in me a need -
I hunger.

Scotch is no companion.

The only poison
I want to touch these lips
is you.

Broken GlassesThe tale began with my trudge down the road.
Hidden faces piercing me; were I some sort of a show?
But I was broken, broken within my heart.
And so I realized too late,
but even before I could have realized, my glasses broke.

If I were to wear them,
would appear the people,
who imitated my friends.
But sculptures too erode; they're nothing anymore,
through my broken glasses.

I once sensed the feel,
were I lost in lost spaces;
for them I wasn't even real.
Nothing more I'll be, they still jeer at me,
while I wear broken glasses.

She did love me once,
such long time ago,
when times were not tense.
But breaking a pledge

Melancholic TendenciesAs she danced away to the fine symphony
She felt nothing but an enchanting ecstasy

Her connective rhythm, her fire breath majesty
A deified sight for the broken heart to see

As she held her stride and moved to and fro
Her heart filled with joy, her mind free of woe

Her grace as she laughed; her happiness so pristine
Her being held sway, no words could define

She moved and moved, her smile more pure
As she danced in the darkness, a divine allure

As the circle drew near, she made a cheerful sound,
An operatic discourse, vibrations spreading round

As she danced and sang, the court was reborn
As ghosts danced to the music, of a satisfied v

GuidanceGuidance.

My father once told me that life is supposed to be a struggle
And that everyone has their own specific type of hustle.

Whether it be working in an office or stacking products on a shelf.
Naturally we all share the same aim of accumulating wealth.

He also told me that nothing is promised in this life time.
When you least expect it the man upstairs will throw you a life line.

Something or someone that will give you a reason to continue.
Awaken the hidden belief and talent that law dormant within you.

He then told me that happiness and success are short lived.
In time your name will both appear and disappear from life's short

Another Begining Trembling, I reach out. It's another teary night, and the void within has grown again. Memories are fragile, fluttery little things that sigh away into the darkness. I am alone, but not truly alone. Within me, locked away, are countless selves. The people I used to be, but who's lives are now forgotten. The people they loved, the things they hated, their hopes and dreams, all lost.
I will be joining them one day. I can feel it. Already I can sense that the one who came before me is slipping away. Sentenced to languish with the others. Desperately, she reaches out, crying a name which means little to me. Who she cared for no longer matters.

SeptemberI don't know why,
I still break down and cry,
At times I find myself,
Wanting to shout out for help,
I want to tell you that I love you, but I don't know,
I just don't know if what we had before is possible,

I hope that you'll always remember me,
And the good times that came to be,
Forget the arguments and the fights,
Step out of the shadows and walk into the light,

Maybe one day we'll talk again,
Forgive each other for our sins,
Until then I'll hold it all in,
Because sometimes it takes two to begin,

Honestly, I just want this month to be over,
As days go by I can feel my heart grow colder,
This would've been two years togeth

The New Generation Is SelfishIt’s hard to hide the truth from everyone else
There’s not much to do but to point and laugh
That’s all that most of them really do
Taking pretty much everything for granted
Bet they wouldn’t survive a day out on the streets
Without some help from home

Tell you all that they don’t need some help
That they are fine on their own
Leave some food on their plates saying that it’s crap
They scream in anger about everything
That’s not gone their way
Dear god the new generation is so selfish it’s unreal

Go out every night looking for some fun with their friends
They get drunk hoping for someone good

LIESBrilliant LIES
Fall from my lips.
Dazzling words of misdirection,
All on display to HIDE
The fact that there are pieces
MISSING.
That there is a darkness within
That DEVOURS.
Of course I can Love.
Of course I can be yours.
Most certainly I will never hurt you.
LIES!
She is screaming,
Locked away behind the mask,
Behind the Steel and Ice
And Blades and Blood.
Don't listen to her cries,
Look at the beautifully sculpted
WORDS
I have on display.
Aren't they much more
PLEASANT?
Aren't they what you
WANT
To hear?
I bow,
And gift you with
What you DESIRE.
LIES.

Healing From The Pain WithinOn a bright moon midnight
this darkness is smothering me.
This pain so real; so alive.
Killing me softly.

Holding me down,
pinning me in a world,
where blackness covers me,
masking my eyes.

But faith must show.
It must come through,
and shine by the darkness,
in which my mind drew.

Just Another Tree In The ForestWhen all the words
I've gathered in my pupils
color my irises grey,
you can find me scribbling

nonsense

in between my eyelashes.

Brainwaves like lines and lines
and lines and lines
of novels and history books.
My memior is made of torn
pages and found poetry. Brown
around the edges -

old and used.

With ashen fingertips, and
fingers like twigs snapping
underfoot, I will carve out
my trunk and count my rings -

always far enough from death and yet
there is no green left in my branches.

I haven't taken root enough
to feel at home
since I was a sapling, but when
children sit in my hollow,
I howl stories about reaching

Vanishing
Disappearing
Going home

So can I go now?

More than I know
But my heart's too shattered
Too cold
I'm scared of her
The other me(s)
If I start letting go
Will there be any hope?
Any at all?

Run away
I want to go home
I hate it here
If crying is bad
That seems so unfair
When will it be safe
To let go
And break down?

Or make me safe

Do not tremble when you speak his name.
Do not grasp at crumbs like a starving stray.
Do not be fazed by the weepies.
If you allow others in,
Do not allow them to be harmed by your darkness.
Do not forget you are not the only you.
Be stronger than the ones who came before.
Stand on your own.
Stare down adversity and triumph.
Do not fear vanishing.
Do not seek to disappear.
If you cry,
Remember to wash tears away and smile.
Even when you are alone,
Seek the strength to persevere.
Do not give in.
Do not give up.
Accept things with grace and dignity-
Except defeat.
Never accept defeat.
Fight until you win,
Even when it hurts.
Even when it means you'll disappear,
Never ever end this life of Ours.

This made me mentally draw a picture in my head. You are a shield maiden, battled, bruised, fallen. A Light shines forth from the heavens in the snowy, cold field that you lie on. You rise, this Light bringing new strength to your limbs and a steely determination enters you once again. You will conquer this evil and rise above it, soaring like a joyous bird through the heavens. Anyway, I really like this poem!
