Walls Against the World

Silence the noise with more noise.
Dispel the crowd with intensive solitude.
Reject the Realm that suffocates and destroys.
Become invisible by retreating.
Project a wall that admits no one.
Sink deeper within,
unreachable to all.
No one can see my heart,
nor touch my perfect isolation.
Safe inside,
I can dream,
can sorrow,
can withstand anything.
Inside my walls, inside my mind,
it is the calm within the storm.
I have no desire to partake of the other world.
Too much they push,
shallowly seeking to overtake and submerge.
They can't have me.
I am mine alone.
Let them falter blindly.
I have what I seek,
and they will never take it from me.
